    Stocks were down Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 0.6%, the S&P 500 losing 0.5%, and the Nasdaq down 0.3%. The Dow and S&P 500 were able to squeak out a second straight week of gains. Greece doesn’t seem any closer to resolving its debt issue, nor has the Fed gotten much more optimistic about raising interest rates in the U.S.

    Rand Paul names hedgie as economic advisor. Republican presidential candidate Paul has appointed hedge fund manager Mark Spitznagel as a senior economic advisor. Spitznagel is the founder of $6 billion Universa Investments. New York Times

    Meanwhile, billionaire investor Carl Icahn is say a big “no” to Donald Trump‘s pick of Icahn as an ideal Treasury Secretary. New York Times

    U.S. buys 2.79 million Apple Watches. Slice Intelligence estimates that Americans have purchased 2.79 million Apple Watches. Apparently 17% of buyers also picked up a second band for their watch. Fortune

    Comcast founder dies. Cable T.V. pioneer and founder of Comcast Ralph Roberts died Thursday in Philadelphia at 95. Roberts named his son Brian as CEO of the Philly-based Comcast more than 10 years ago. CNN

    Charleston continues to struggle after mass shooting. Relatives of the shooting victims addressed the suspected killer in court on Friday. Many expressed forgiveness. New York Times

    Heinz distributes porn. Heinz forgot to update the QR code on a ketchup bottle, accidentally leading a condiment lover to an “adult” site. No word on whether ketchup was still part of the new website. BBC
