This year’s top earners brought in a total of $12.5 trillion in revenues last year, Fortune reports. Adjusting for inflation, that’s a whopping 10 times what the original 500 companies were making. The list has changed over the years, now incorporating service sectors like financials. And as the world has shifted, so have these companies, reaching a more global marketplace.
