EventX Releases Event Industry Predictions for a Post-COVID Asia in New White Paper

EventX, Asias’ leading event management company, has released a new free white paper revealing some of the probable changes in store for Asia’s event industry in the aftermath of the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The Event Industry Predictions for a Post-COVID Asia study showcases several key insights that could affect the decisions of events organizers moving ahead in a post-pandemic world. These include the belief that corporate events will take the initial lead once restrictions are lifted; that virtual/hybrid event adoption will continue its rapid rise; that technology is the key decider for one’s choice of a virtual platform; and that there has been a rise in diversity in attendance for online events. As well as providing a general outlook for Asia on these subjects, several key territories were examined in greater detail including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

The study’s insights were based on responses given by international events industry leaders to a series of polls provided during the recent Event Trends in a Post COVID Asia webinar held by EventX. The free webinar was attended by 200 participants from across Asia and further afield, providing a forum for event organizers to share their views on events post-COVID. Between presentations, participants were polled on topics related to their event-based activities during the pandemic as well as their opinions on the future of the industry. Talks were given at the event by EventX Co-Founder/CEO Sum Wong; Haymarket Head of Event Programming, Asia Iain Bell; Tencent WeStart Partnerships & Events Manager Sandy Ip; HK Initiative Founder/Managing Partner Darren Chuckry; and Pico Group Vice President at Chan Wee Teck.

Commenting, Wong said, “One of the core elements of EventX’s mission is using events to further the sharing of knowledge. With the release of this white paper, we are proud to continue contributing to the discussion within the events community. The last year saw unprecedented circumstances for event agencies and brands alike, and just like them I and the rest of the EventX team cannot wait to see what the future holds.”

One of the world’s premier virtual platform providers, EventX achieved over 300% growth during 2020. In February 2021, recognizing the massive growth, success, and change the company had experienced, it rebranded from EventXtra to EventX. Earlier this year, it released its white paper on the Latest Event Trends in Asia for 2021.
