NexAsia People Moves: JPM has two new heads of global IB; Citi hires new securities head

JP Morgan appoints new heads of healthcare and global investment banking,  according to an internal memo sent to Nexchange. David Lau was named head of global investment banking for Hong Kong. Lau, a 20-year veteran at JPMorgan, served as head of China Corporate Finance. Esther Yeh, a senior client executive in the firm’s Taiwan investment banking team, was also promoted to head of global investment banking for Taiwan. Meanwhile, Ling Zhang joined the bank from Citi as managing director and head of China Healthcare.

Citigroup snags new head of Japanese markets and securities division. Twenty-year banking vet Kuniyoshi Hayashi is set to join Citigroup this August as head of the firm’s Japanese markets and securities division. Prior to joining Citi, he served as co-head of Deutsche Securities’ capital markets department and began his career at Goldman Sachs. Bloomberg
