Uber Health Unveils New Patient-Centric Features

Building on its recent growth, Uber Health has developed several new features for clients.

The company recently announced that it has launched a slew of features designed to “meet patients where they are and to make sure technology is never a limiting factor” in providing care.

These include designated pickup spots – similar to Uber’s rider app technology – to help healthcare providers select specific pickup points at large hospitals and medical campuses.

Direct driver messaging is another new feature, allowing healthcare providers to message drivers directly, ensuring that “drivers don’t need to toggle between the app and SMS notifications and making facilitating a pickup for a rider even easier.”

The company also added support for 44 different languages and landline scheduling, helping those who may not speak English or those who don’t have a cell phone prepare for their ride.

Uber Health was launched two years ago seeking to remove transportation as a barrier to care for those who need it the most. It has grown 300% year-on-year since launch and has worked with over 1000 partners over the past year to tackle pain points in non-emergency medical transportation.
